Simone Cavell

BSc (Hons) Psychology, MSc Health Psychology | GMBPsS

Simone is a warm and empathetic therapist working across the lifespan with adults, adolescents, and children. She brings extensive experience from inpatient and outpatient services in the UK and Cambodia, and has been based in Myanmar since 2018.

About Simone

Simone's clinical foundation was built in UK inpatient and outpatient settings—the kind of environments where you work with people in genuine crisis—and then refined through years living and working in Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand, where cultural context shapes everything from how people talk about mental health to what "getting better" even means.

Clients notice first that she doesn't rush. She doesn't push you to "fix" things before you're ready, but she also doesn't let you stay in patterns that keep hurting. Her work is grounded in CBT and mindfulness-based approaches, but always person-centered—which means the pace, the focus, and the goals are yours, not pulled from a treatment manual. Clients describe sessions with Simone as feeling both held and challenged in equal measure.
