Stephanie Beltramini
MSc Psychology | Certified CBT Therapist
Stephanie is a psychologist and certified CBT therapist who brings deep cross-cultural experience to her work, specializing in anxiety, depression, burnout, and adjustment challenges across all ages.
About Stephanie
Stephanie was born in Cameroon, spent 28 years moving through African nations, and later lived and worked in Myanmar—experiences that give her a deep understanding of what it means to live between cultures in Southeast Asia. She knows what it feels like when someone asks "where are you from?" and the answer takes ten minutes. She also knows what it's like to help children adjust to yet another school, to grieve a place you've left behind, and to build a sense of home when nothing feels permanent.
Her clinical training is from Germany (MSc in Psychology, CBT specialization), and she's worked in research, mental health support in post-conflict zones, and with displaced populations—contexts where therapy isn't a luxury; it's survival. That experience shaped how she works now: with empathy, cultural humility, and a focus on what's actually useful. She's not interested in therapy that sounds good on paper but doesn't translate to your kitchen table or your kid's classroom.
Areas of Specialization
Stephanie treats a wide range of mental health challenges across all age groups—children, adolescents, and adults:
Generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, OCD
Depression, low mood, self-worth challenges
Work-related stress, burnout recovery, life balance
Life transitions, cultural adjustment, relocation stress
Insomnia, sleep hygiene, sleep-related anxiety
Major life changes, grief, relationship challenges
Therapeutic Approach
Stephanie employs evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy alongside the Plan Analysis method (Caspar). She describes her methodology as "holistic and humanistic, rooted in mindfulness," emphasizing goal-oriented work that connects clients to their personal aspirations and strengths.
She values transparency and the therapeutic relationship, operating collaboratively with clients. Her approach is tailored to each individual's unique context, cultural background, and personal goals, creating a safe space for exploration and growth.
